How to Order

How do you go about it...?
I like to have contact with my clients from the outset so that I can ensure I am working to their requirements  and sometimes make suggestions on size and angle to get the best from their chosen sculpture.  Initially a phone call from a client will be to discuss the model they  might want and I usually hear about the things  their dog (or other pet) does, and learn something of their personality.  Next, the client would send photos, or if they have seen a model on the website and  would like a similar one, a copy of that model would be ordered with their own pet as the subject..
I will ask the type of sculpture, the position, size and finish you want.   The end product will be modelled from your description and photos so that your sculpture will please you for many years to come and of course, you will own a bespoke piece.
If you wish for a true likeness to your pet and in it's true colour, several photos will be required taken from every angle, preferably in good light.

What if you don't have a photo...?
Sometimes because your pet is no longer with you a photo can't be provided. However, sculptures can be made without photos.  If you have a specific subject in mind please feel free to enquire.    Often a very good description or even one old photo will be good enough to work from.

Where to put it...?
Display may be a key factor in deciding the size of your commission.  For example, you may have a particular table, cabinet or shelf in mind which will best display your model.  You may want it to match  a particular photo and be displayed alongside, to complement a picture or photo frame.

How long will it take...?
Because of the work involved, and time needed to create each piece, an accurate time cannot always be given on when your model will be completed, but an estimation of several weeks would be minimum.
It would be wise to order well in advance if it is to be  a present  for a certain date.

How will I get it...?
Sculptures will be sent by UPS delivery service, or if you have ordered from an agility show, you may possibly collect your order from a future show (to be arranged)

Postage Prices...
Postage is to be paid by the client and cost will be fixed at £25 per model.  The actual average cost is never less, and  usually more, but for clients to work out their overall cost it is simpler to fix a price.  Pottery Pets will cover the additional cost.
